Chapter 3 A Party Proposal

                    Days went by friendship grew between me and Jeni and similarly between Susan and Madhu. That Saturday was Susan birthday and she had invited me for party. I had no expectations or special planning over her birthday but Jeni and Madhu had. My excitement was little emerging as Jeni showed an excitement.

                    I heard with Madhu, he told that he had many special dreams and desires over her birthday and he also planned for a love proposal on that day. This added my curiosity, ‘How she would react?’

                     Madhu asked me to accompany him to a gift shop and buy a gift for Susan. I reached that shop. I look above the shop there stood a billboard with glowing pink lights around the name of the shop “Big Bear Gifts”. I looked at the entrance of the shop there stood a giant Yellow teddy bear costume wore by a man, greeting every customers.

                    I came on the time we planned but Madhu didn’t, after my five minutes wait he showed up. Just with a wave we walked into the shop. The yellow bear greeted us, I just smiled at that doll and moved.

                    “What should I buy?” he said to himself. Suddenly he pointed to something and he started to move, I too walked along him.

                    “No, no  it looks like an old doll”, he again talked to himself and walked left with a finger on his chin, that gesture showed that he was thinking over something. He turned to me, “Are you tailing me?”

                    “To help you”, I said.

                    “What have you planned to buy for her?” he asked suddenly. I didn’t expected that question from him. I opened my mouth to speak but I didn’t as I had nothing to tell.

                    “So, you are going to eat at party for FREE”, he stressed the word FREE.

                    “It is not about gifting for cost of the dinner, one should gift only if he likes from his inner heart and the person who receives it will keep it with them”, I said.

                    “So you don’t like by heart?” he questioned again.

                    “Don’t make such irritating questions if you want to buy something just buy otherwise let’s get out of the shop”

                    “Stay calm I’m searching”, by saying he rotated his head and continued, “If your eyes caught with something romantic show me”. He rounded the shop and I too searched for sometimes but not with a great care. Suddenly a doll caught my eyes, a boy with blue pants and Yellow t-shirt was half kneel and proposing a girl with a dark blood red rose on his right hand, the girl with the silver gown which I saw in Cinderella movie, held her hands over her mouth in excitement and they were standing over the tiny rock like ground. This whole dolls were sealed in a crystal globe. I held my hand to take that doll, it made me to feel something inside me.

                    I held my hand to take that doll, Madhu tapped me from back and showed me a watch pair. The watch had dial in the shape of a half heart, both the dials were glowing, red in male watch and blue in female watch. “Whenever I neared her the watch glows”, he said with a melodious tone.

                    “Won’t she have watches?” I questioned.

                    “Ahh! She may have a number of watches if she likes me then she will wore this watch”, he said.

                    “Why it’s glowing all the time?”

                    “It is the reason why I chose this, whenever the watch were in 10m radius the watch starts to glow”, he said, called a man and asked him to pack only the female watch with a blue wrapper.

                    “Don’t you buy anything for her?”

                    He again started from the first, I told him that I would buy it later. We made our ways to house. At house, I told all the things happened in the store to Jeni. She had some to stuff to share and she shared too. She created a new group chat, that group includes three persons, myself, Jeni and Madhu. Jeni and Madhu were planning seriously over the surprises. I stayed silent and just read the messages.

                    Next day after all the plans we went to school earlier, my mother asked me why I was going early I just said there was a celebration and I got myself ready.

                    I reached school Madhu too came on time, I asked where was the gift he bought he told that he had it in his bag. I was eager to see his proposal. We both went to the classroom it, we started our work as planned before, I took a yellow balloon and blew it to some extent which I thought it was enough for it but Madhu asked to blew bigger, as I expected it made a BOOM. To the safer side I bought 4 balloons, I blew one and gave it to Madhu to knot it. Madhu asked me to give him a balloon, I did. He searched something in his bag, his hand was grinding inside the bag and his eyes was looking the ceiling to search in his mind map. He finally took a punching machine.

                    He held the mouth of the balloon and plugged some punched paper waste into balloon then he blew it. Double side tape helped the balloon to stand erect over the door, inside the classroom.

                    In minutes, Madhu pointed outside and said they are on their way, I could see Jeni and Susan. Madhu pulled a desk and moved it near the door and he climbed over it and waited for Susan to enter with a safety pin to blast the balloon.

                    I was in a confused state where to stand, so I decided to stay in next classroom. Madhu hushed me to stay and not to roam over veranda as Susan could see me if I wander. I never wished to spoil their plans but I made Madhu to get tense at that moment. I made my step outside the classroom to run, I peered outside the class to check the cleared path. There were none when I saw, I took a speed to run. My great speed never had enough time to make my way.

                    I saw Jeni climbing over the steps, thank God she climbed first and Susan was below her. Jeni eyes struck a moment when she saw me, without second thought I returned back into my classroom with the same speed. Madhu really got tensed then. I was roaming inside the class room, Madhu pointed the bench back to him. I was an idiot at this point I hid under the desk on which Madhu was standing.

                    The voice of Jeni reached my ears, “Today, you are the first person to enter the class. Go on Sue it’s your day”. Suddenly Susan, “Hey there is something under the desk”. Then I realized the shadow under my desk. What to do then I moved myself to hide my shadow, Susan slowly moved in the room. I moved inside, suddenly I shook the desk. Madhu got slipped and he fell down very front of Susan. Jeni pushed Susan with a gentle push. She got twisted with her legs and fell over Madhu. This was totally unexpected, Jeni giggled. I didn’t know what to do at that moment. The balloons caught my eyes, I just climbed over the desk and burst them. The paper inside the balloon showered the people who fell over the floor.

                    When Susan fell over Madhu, he just held her and said, “Happy Birthday”.

                    Susan was about to say a reply, but she was waiting for some word from Madhu. Madhu was trying to speak something but he closes the mouth whenever it opens for words. I couldn’t blink my eyes. I was excited what would be their conversation I forgot Jeni too at that moment.

                    “Thank you, little boy”, Susan sighed. Susan moved herself away from him and crawled over a floor for two steps and got up. Jeni gave hands to Madhu. He looked up to me, I showed thumbs up with a look that he could not tolerate. I jumped down and gave my wishes to Susan. She thanked me and gave me a chocolate. By wishing I walked to my desk. I made a greeting with cardboards availed at my house. I gave it to Susan and smiled.

                    “Aww! It is really very cute”, said Susan. Actually it is very simple, I made a hole at cover such that “Happy Birthday”, font written inside the card will be visible from outside. Inside the card I copied a friendship quote from the internet, “The greatest gift of the life is Friendship and I received it from you Susan”.

                    “I love it so much”, Susan said.

                    “Really?” I asked

                    “Handmade gifts are so impressive and I think you are special in it”

                    I turned slowly to Jeni, she was leaping and looked over the greeting, and she took some steps to reach me and asked, “How long it took to complete it?”

                    “An hour”, I said.

                    “Hmm”, she nodded. I don’t know why she asked that question still now. A moment later she gave me a little punch.

                    While I was talking with Jeni, Susan was standing very close to front of Madhu again tries to spell something but he couldn’t. Susan made his mouth close by giving him a chocolate. Madhu said, “Happy Birthday”. I couldn’t see him opening his mouth for pronouncing the words. He was holding the chocolate and not taking it. My eyes measured accurately that they were standing like statue for 2 seconds.

                    “What the hell is happening here?” I asked Jeni in a low voice.

                    “I knew nothing”, she said just to make herself safe at that moment.

                    “Then I too knew nothing”, I joined her.

                    After some moments, I remembered Madhu haven’t gave her the watch that he bought for her. I asked in common, “Have Madhu gifted her? I think I missed it”.

                    “If he wish to gift he will”, Jeni said in soft voice. It was so soft such that I couldn’t hear what she said.

“He is the best Gift I ever got, isn’t it?” Susan questioned and answered yes herself and giggled.

I and Madhu sat on the 2^nd bench and Susan with Jeni sat at 1^st bench. Madhu unwrapped the chocolate Susan gave him and broke into half. He took a half directly to Susan’s mouth, she held his hand by resisting to eat and said, “It was for you and not for me”

“I wish to share all even it was a chocolate”, Madhu told her. Susan smiled and took the chocolate Madhu gave.

“Why can’t you share it with us Mister?” Jeni asked in a tricky tone. Madhu blabbered and he managed, “She is special today so I gave her if it was your birthday I would give you”. She agreed in a criticizing smile. Similarly there was some unexpected dialogue exchanges took place at that time I will turn to Jeni and she to me, we both laugh at them secretly with our eyes and eyebrows.

Our chat continued until a girl came in her name was Pavithra. She came in and wished Susan and Madhu left as it was almost time for the classes to begin. He went away and many came with their wishes for Susan.

At break, I took Madhu alone and asked him why he haven’t gifted yet he told that he felt shy and he didn’t get such courage. I was surprised on hearing these words from Madhu as he never had any shyness to speak with a girl.

“What she would think of me? Will she be mad at me? Will she talks to me then?” he kept on questioning. I became an adviser here. “Just give the watch and propose other day”, I suggested. He disagreed and told that he should make that day as her best if she likes me and also added that he would spoil her day if she rejects his proposal.

“Have you spoke to Jeni about this?” I asked for getting idea about Susan’s mentality over these.

“No, don’t tell anything about this to her, I want to propose myself and then I will say to everyone if she accepts”, said Madhu.

He also told me not to speak about this to Jeni. I agreed. Now I spoke some words, “Madhu I think Susan loves you”. It was the common dialogue that every friend would say to give him hope to open his heart. I did it and I knew if I am telling lie or truth, it would satisfy Madhu at that moment so, I said it.

“Is she?” he asked with a confused mind. I nodded.

----------------------------Evening Party Time----------------------------

                     The evening came by, I went home and got ready myself, Susan had told me that she had invited everyone in the class for the party. I am not good at attending parties but I had to go as Jeni was there and I will get a chance to eat together with her.

                    A question raised in my mind, WHAT DRESS SHOULD I WEAR. I wished to wear a suit like movie stars attending parties in movies, but I didn’t had any suit so I ended with a red round necked t-shirt with white strips horizontally along with a blue jean with pale color at the knees.

                    I went to the party, Madhu joined me in half, he was in a formal shirt plain light blue full sleeved and tugged in a black pant. He was almost looked like a sales person if a tie was tied around his neck. I haven’t seen him such formal ever. I wished to tease him but I know he was serious about proposing that night so I didn’t spoke anything.

                    We reached the party, it was filled with people. I tapped Madhu on his back and encouraged him. He took a breath and walked in. As we entered the gateway a lady welcomed and inquired, “Are you Susan’s class mates?”

                    Madhu, “Aunty, you must be Susan’s Mom right?”

                    “Yes, I am”, she said with a nodded head with her specs on right hand. I looked sharply is that specs was shaking when she nods but, it hasn’t shook.

                    “Aunty, I’m Madhesh and this is Nithish”

                    “Oh! Madhesh, Susi has told about you and Nithish and you Nithish”, she turned her head towards me with a smile and added, “Your greeting card was fab”. I was astonished is she saying these as I gave her or was my card really much special.

                    “Where is Susan?” Madhu asked.

                    “She is in Jeni’s”, she said by pointing a house next on the right side. We smiled and told her that we will be joining the party after showing our faces to them and left that place.

                    We walked to Jeni’s house, I had an inner feel that I should step the first step into the Jeni’s house. I made my steps faster and I calmed when I kept my foot before Madhu, even Neil Armstrong would never felt my happiness at that time. The path way was stoned and flowers are welcoming from both sides.

                    We reached the door, the door was closed but not locked. I knocked the door and rung the bell when Madhu extended to knock. I hear someone coming towards the door. The door opened.

                    Jeni wore a full sleeved dark blue with red and black checked shirt, her jean had some tears at some random places on jean. She was so cute at her pony tail hair style. Her earrings was small black bead like.

                    She showed how happy she was on seeing us by inviting us with a smile and she asked us to follow her. Eyes roamed all over the hall. I admired the room like entering a palace but it was small room. The photos hung at the hall made me to admire. I could see all age photos of Jeni there.

                    I stood a particular photo in that Jeni was little girl standing under a tree and showing love sign with her fingers and wrinkling. It totally pulled me. Jeni saw me admiring that photograph. She took few steps back and said, “I took this photo at 12, at Ooty, the Mist was really impressive right?” she asked.

                    How could I say, Mist is trying to hide her beauty so, I just said, “Yeah, Mist is most beautiful”. “Not me?” she added.

                    “May be for you”, I lied and both smiled. We walked Madhu was seeing us and he joined at our walk. She took us into a room there was a bunch of girls siting around Susan. I tried to wave my hand to Susan. I heard a quarrel between the voices in saying greets,

                    “Hi da”

                    “Hello Bro”

                    “Hola dude”

                    “Hey Madhu”

                    “Madhuuuuuu”

                    I put my hands down as I later knew those were not for me. Madhu just greeted them in all, “Hi friends”. I expected greets for me too but none greeted except one it was Susan, “Hi Nithish”, she said and her voice was very clear as everyone was silent at that time and added, “Hello”, she said by looking Madhu. Madhu smiled.

                    “The party begins in minutes could you please wait at garden we will be coming there”, Susan said. I opened my mouth, “Madhu needs to …”, when I opened my mouth Madhu pulled my hand and signaled not to say. Pavithra jumped from the crowd and asked Madhu, “Can I join you on the way to party?” Madhu agreed.

                    I wished to say bye to Jeni and I did, I turned to Susan to tell her too, but her eyes were fixed over Pavithra and Madhu who were walking together out of the house. “I think I must make my way behind them so catch you guys”, I said but I don’t have any reply. One girl replied, “Bye”. I couldn’t see but I heard her voice very clearly and I was sure that it was not Jeni and Susan.

                    At party, I found some boys, known to me, I just put a cheering HiFi with Sunil and joined the conversation. There was a topic going over the latest released movie. I forgot about while I had a chat with those boys.

                    One boy asked me, “How’s it goin’ between you and Jeni?” “What? What’s going between?” I added.

                    “The thing between you and her I meant your relationship”, he said. Some guys laughed and among them Richard friend of mine told, “I could see you crushing over her”.

                    I murmured, “No I don’t have such ideas with her like that now”. At the end of my line Richard added, “Not now may be tomorrow”.

                    Oh God how I could manage this situation, if I told I had crush over her then everyone will tease her badly and that would break the good friendship that I had then. It was what I had been thinking at that moment. I prayed god to save me, he heard my prayers and sent Madhu to save me.

                    Madhu entered the mid of the conversation, the attention of the boys moved towards him. “What Pavithra was telling you?” The conversation was on Madhu and Pavithra. Madhu was resisting that Pavithra was friend, but none believed.

                    Suddenly a man with normal mustache and well dressed. He clapped hardly such that everyone could hear him, actually none heard him well in that noisy chats. Some may noticed like me and asked others to listen to him. The crowd settled their talks and silence was filled.

                    “Now it is the time to cut the cake”, he said cheerfully and everyone clapped. I could see Jeni and Susan were entering with the girls accompanying them. I saw the cake it was big it may be of 20x20 inches square I think so. There were little candles all around and a musical flower candle at the center and something was written over the cake and I couldn’t see it.

                    Everyone gathered around, Jeni and other girls stood behind her and made themselves covered in the photos and videos taken. Susan took the plastic knife which was kept to cut the cake on her right hand. Everyone were keenly waiting to sing birthday song on her cut. But, she whispered something into Jeni’s ears. Jeni searched someone in the crowd and her eyes fixed over me. She waved her hands and asked me to come and join them and she pointed Madhu to bring him too. We both walked slowly and stood next to Jeni from me.

                    Susan blew the candles, she succeeded with the candles around but the musical candle didn’t. Susan blew harder like shooting the air from her mouth but, she failed. The crowd started to laugh at them.

                    Madhu and Jeni bent uniformly to blow as I saw they are bending I too bent without any thought. All 4 blew rapidly the candle was stronger than us. Susan’s father counted, “5 4”. We stop blowing when he said 4 and waited.

                    “3 2”, we made ourselves ready the silence ruled that moment too for seconds.

                    “1”, at one we all blew together and the candle lit was blown up. The laughed crowd started to cheer and clapped hands for us and later we sang the birthday song and she cut the cake and she gave to her dad and mom. They repeated too. Everyone started to take photos with her and they are gifting her. I had been watching what Madhu going to do. A girl distracted me by calling from back, “You guys are really great”. I smiled and it was the voice I heard Bye at Jeni’s house. I asked her name and she told, “Anu, Anushya”. “Okie, I am not good at remembering names”, I said. She laughed and walked away. As I saw the buffet with variety of foods. My legs pulled me there rapidly.

On the way, I heard a man saying, “Have you seen those guys united when we laughed over her, I wish to be one among them”. I thought the whole crowd was talking about us. I felt everyone was seeing me and I felt like a guest appearance of a hero in a movie.

I took the food I loved in a plate and searched for Madhu, I saw Jeni and asked her where was Madhu. She told that he was waiting with Susan at a place for us so that none would disturb us, because Susan was the pole star that  night and everyone will be talking to her and she won’t able to eat peacefully.

I walked with Jeni and sat next to Madhu. We formed a circle Susan, left was Madhu, followed by me and Jeni. Before I started eating, “Guys I need some private talk with Nithu could you please?” Jeni requested. Susan and Madhu nodded, giggled and they stood and sat few distance away. Susan asked, “Is this make you private?” Jeni nodded.

My heart sunk in fear for that moment. Jeni moved herself close to me, she took her tomato soup bowl and she was stirring slowly such that the half melt butter and floating bread pieces swim all around the bowl.  I took a spoon from my bowl as she took in hers. She blew gently such that she covers the whole spoon and took that spoon completely. While me watching her I forgot to blow and I took the soup inside my mouth it was hot to burn my tongue. I swallowed it I could feel the hot and warmth moving slowly through my food pipe.

What she going to talk in personal? My mind questioned me. “You told that you need to talk something?” I asked.

“Did I? Sorry then”, she said and started to have her soup. She added, “Wow, how tasty this soup is I would live only drinking this soup till my lifetime”

“Why you told them like that?” I asked repeatedly and expected some answers from her as I couldn’t control myself why she told it.

“Nithu actually it’s nothing I want Madhu and Sue to have their private time so that I told it”

I was like a cat in the fish shop which has no fishes. I wished to hear something about me but my expectations were failed. “Nithu I could talk to you without any hesitation so don’t think too much if any I will tell you”

“So this private talk is not for us right?” I tried to pull some words from her. She said, “Why we need?” I asked then why them.

“Are we keeping secrets between us?” I asked her.

“May be them”, she said and looked at them.

I turned and looked at Madhu and Susan both were not talking as before, they spoke only words when they are left alone. I couldn’t hear the words but I could see them struggling to get the words.

“I think they like each other”, Jeni said with a freaking voice. I understood what she meant actually but, I told, “I too like them”.

“Err!” she bit her teeth and tapped my head with the spoon she had. “Ouch!” I screamed in a very low volume such that only Jeni could even it didn’t hurt me.

“They are in love I think so”, she said.

“Did you told them that they were in love”, I tried to crack a worst joke. I tensed her with irrelevant answers.

“Idiot. Look I think Susan loves him and he loves Susan and they are keeping it as a secret among themselves. Do you have any sense what I was supposed to tell them?” she hurried the whole speech in a short time with a low voice.

“Chill, I was just kidding”, I told and started to drink my soup. I saw Jeni took the bowl in her arms and started to drink directly from the bowl. She drunk whole and kept the empty bowl down. I saw a red small thin moustache. I laughed by pointing it.

She pulled her inner eye brows into her eyes and gave a starring look and cleaned the moustache using her lower lips. She was still starring, she was damn at cute fake angry face, and without my knowledge I pinched her cheek. At my pinch her eyebrows rested normally her mouth become tiny and her check became red.

We were silent for seconds. I tried to look her eyes, her eyeballs were frozen to a particular point without a blink. I diverted her by waving hand and got attention. “What?” I asked. She shook her head rapidly in the horizontal direction.

“Can I say you something?” I asked

She didn’t spoke just nodded a little. I found her mouth was trying to open but it closed twice. At third time, her mouth opened and asked, “About?”

“Madhu loves Susan and he had told me before”, I said to her. On hearing my words the frozen Jeni melted from frozen state. “Really?” she asked with an excitement as her prediction was right. I smiled.

“Oh, Madhu loves her?” she spoke herself.

“I told you that”

“I am going to say you something”

“Well”

“Susan too loves him”.

I smile like a genius as my prediction too true. Both laughed, I told her that Madhu has planned for the proposal. I ignited the enthusiasm inside her. We turned to their side and we were watching them what they were doing. Our faces are fixed to their direction

“Isn’t it awkward to see them doing this?” I asked in a low voice without turning my face to Jeni so that I won’t miss any moments happening there.

“I will be their memory to remind them how they actually reacted for this”, she said with a great feel. I was watching keenly what they are doing, we couldn’t hear any voices but we could see their faces and the emotions over it.

In minutes Madhu put his hands inside his pocket and took a wrapped gift. Susan eyes twinkled like the stars on seeing the gift. She unwraps the gift and took the watch she turned the watch all around. She reacted that she haven’t saw a watch before. She removed her watch that she wore and asked Madhu to make her wear it. Madhu tied the watch and he touched a button somewhere watches on Madhu’s hand and Susan’s hand started to glow brightly.

Susan was now examining Madhu’s watch she found it was similar to it and it was couple watch. Madhu was speaking something it was short. I husked to Jeni “He is proposing I think so”.

“I too think that”, she husked back.

“I think we can turn our head, anything might happen now romantically”, I said as I expected a hug between them and may be depends on their excitement. I didn’t wanted to see that. I turned and saw Jeni watching them with a serious face like watching thriller movie climax.

“FOOL, IDIOT, SENSELESS IDIOT”, I heard the words of Susan. I didn’t expected that. Jeni was smiling with an open mouth. “Look Susan is scolding him but without harsh words”, Jeni was speaking herself and still laughing.

“Am sorry Sue”, I heard Madhu’s voice too at that moment. Their voice was loud now. “I hate you don’t speak me any word”, Susan told and went away. I didn’t know how to react. Susan left her plate and walked directly to her house.

I turned to Jeni, she told that she will ask her what happened and I told I would ask Madhu. I went to Madhu to ask what happened, I had my plate in my hands. I sat next to him and started to eat the food I had on my plate.

“What happened have you proposed?” I asked.

“I did and I ruined her birthday too as I thought, she got tensed when I proposed her”

“I think Susan too loves you”, I still kept on saying that as I heard that from Jeni. Madhu grew red and pulled my plate and stopped me eating my dinner. “I am in a critical situation and idiot you are eating your dinner peacefully what kind of friend you are?”

“Madhu I look, I can’t starve my stomach for your love”

“Oh”, he said and gave me my plate, his plate and the plate left by Susan and said, “Eat, eat, eat everything do you need one more plate say I will get it”

“Calm Madhu, Jeni had went to ask Susan”

Madhu sat and I saw his eyes filled with tears, “What you said her?” I asked, I knew he would have spoken gently and I don’t know why she was in anger?

“Nithish I just said her that the watch would glow if it was kept together”

“Okie then”, by saying I gave my arm to his shoulders to keep his courage.

“She liked it, then I asked will you be with me together as my partner to see these glow all day. She gave a slap and rest you knew”

“Wait let Jeni comes”, I said he nodded.

After a moment, Jeni came. She took me alone and Madhu was looking us with his watery eyes and tried to hear what we speak. “Nithish, Susan was at extent anger”, Jeni said.

“But you told me that she love Madhu”, I interrupted while she speaks.

“Yeah. She loves him her anger was not on Madhu”

“Then”

“That idiot was planned to propose tonight and he spoiled her plans and it made her to get angry”

I laughed inside me and I asked Jeni what to do then. Jeni told ask Madhu to meet Susan she is at her room crying.

I went to Madhu told him that Susan was crying and asked him to pacify her. He agreed and asked us to accompany him. We resisted but he compelled us as he was in fear.

We crossed many guests around, “Where’s Susan?” someone asked us. She is on phone speaking to someone answered Jeni. Jeni took us to Susan’s room. It was filled with girls, everyone was around Susan. A silence was there, a girl said, “Hey Madhu is here”. A discussion held there every girl was looking over him in a strange look.

Susan asked everyone to leave and she needs to talk to Madhu. All left, I walked slowly. “Nithish I didn’t asked you to leave”, Susan ordered like a princess. I stool along the door and I was playing with the door by swing it.

Madhu walked near Susan, “Sorry I didn’t meant to but I love you”

“Can we be friends?” Susan asked. It was surprising question for me. I looked at Jeni and she was looking at the same way I looked at her.

“Sorry, I can’t”, Madhu said and bent his head down.

Susan again stood up and give a slap again. Madhu said, “I would say this even you stab me, because I love you”

Slapped Susan eyes filled with tears. She closed her eyes and the tears came out from her eyes edge. Madhu wiped it and said, “I will not bother you and sorry I ruined your birthday and sorry for disappointing your friendship”.

“Will you be my friend? We can talk play as before” she asked again.

“Sorry I love you”, Madhu was stubborn

Susan hugged him the next moment he said I LOVE YOU and she said, “I love you too little IDIOT. Stay like this always”

I smiled and Jeni held my hand and smiled, moved her eyebrows towards them I giggled. Finally that day became a memorable day for Madhu and Susan.

Jeni separated them, “Ah, it’s enough today let’s get out and everyone will be waiting for us”. Pavithra jumped in and shouted, “Wow. It’s awesome I heard every conversation by waiting in next room”. She was followed by other girls saying “I too heard”.

Madhu and Susan were in shy but they held their hands tightly. Both blushed as everyone started to tease them. Susan said, “Be quiet Dad may come”. “Let him come”, a girl said and laughed.

I moved from that place on seeing me Jeni followed me. “Nithish really it was great right?” Jeni asked on our way to outside. I said, “Yes”.

“Will you propose a girl like this?”

“More than this”, I said.

“I am waiting to see that lucky girl and your splendid proposal”

How could I tell her that she is the one to whom I want to propose. After the party, we made our ways to home. Madhu made the day as his day. I was happy for Madhu. Now my mind works on “What would Jeni like? How could I propose her?”
